American Bittern by Larry Frogge

American Bittern by Larry Frogge
Finally got a shot of the American Bittern in a somewhat open area. I've found them in the brush out on the water many times with no luck getting a clean shot. This is a typical reaction by them when found. They will stick their beak straight up in the air, kind of weave back and forth like the weeds in the wind, to hide themselves. It was interesting to watch while shooting. Like most birds that I have trouble getting the shots I want, now I will probably see them all the time. Oh well, I'll shoot them again then!!
Enjoy,
Larry
